"Daddy Go"

So we are on day 4 of mommy and Charlie solo time. So far it hasn't been too bad. His behavior has been good, his sleep could be worse I guess to think of it in a positive light.

Night One: Asleep at 8:30, up at 1:30 asleep at 3:30. We both went back to bed. I had to wake him up to take him to daycare (seems ridiculous to be trying to wake him up after all the effort I put into getting him back to sleep)

Night Two: Asleep at 8:15, up at 3:30 asleep at 5:30. He went back to bed, but at that point I thought I would probably feel worse if I slept for an hour so I just stayed up.

Night Three: Asleep at 7:50, up at 6am!! I was so proud of him.

I have been scrambling to get some things done and other things will have to wait for Josh to get back. I have so much respect for single parents. It is really tough not to have a second person. Matt from my office and his wife invited Charlie and I over for dinner so that will be nice. It gets a little lonely for us.

Josh will probably be equal parts flattered, proud and sad to learn that Charlie's second "phrase" since the momentous "All-Done" was this morning and it was "Daddy Go" while he climbed on our bed. He said it over and over again and then walked all over the apartment I suspect looking for the elusive Daddy. I expect the reunion at the airport tomorrow will be very nice for all three of us.

Daddy go? Jeepers. What a tear jerker. What was Julia's song? "Mommy at work, daddy gone"?
